GENERAL RELEASE
The undersigned does hereby discharge, release and hold harmless, Eric Thorsen Gallery and Thorsen Enterprises, Inc
(All cities, property owners, and associations) and all co-sponsors from any and all manner of action, suits, damages, or claims whatsoever arising from any loss or damages or claims, to the person or property of the undersigned while in possession or under the supervision of the sponsors during the Festival, and hereby consents to enforcement of all rules of this event. Furthermore, the undersigned artist hereby certifies that all display work is handcrafted and created by the show participant. Participant understands that any mass-produced item on display can cause expulsion from the show or future shows. There are no rain dates. There will be no refunds or credits if a show is cancelled due to rain, floods, hurricanes, or any other forces of nature after logistics and advertising have been arranged! There will be no refunds on artist cancellations. Credit will be issued if Howard Alan Events, Ltd. & American Craft Endeavors. is notified in writing at least (30) THIRTY days prior to an event. Exhibitors are responsible for full payment of show fee if cancelled less than 60 days prior to event. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY ANY EXHIBITOR CAUSING ANY PROBLEMS TO FELLOW EXHIBITORS OR MANAGEMENT. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations set forth on this General Release may result in expulsion from any and/or all events. Management reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules. The undersigned understands that if this application is not accepted, all fees and slides will be returned by mail, with the exception of the Application Processing Fee. If accepted, Eric Thorsen Gallery and Thorsen Enterprises, Inc has my permission to reproduce my artwork, through the slides or photographs I have submitted, for the purpose of advertising and marketing the Shows. Eric Thorsen Gallery and Thorsen Enterprises, Inc also has my permission to publish photographs or videos taken of my booth, my work and me during the showings for purposes related to promotion of the shows, past or future.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY
1. FEES: Each application must include a check for $50 per day plus $15 jury fee.
A separate application and check must be submitted for each category entered.
The $15 jury fee is non-refundable.
2. Make checks payable to Eric Thorsen, APPLICATION IS COMMITMENT TO
SHOW Dates. No refunds will be mode for cancellation once artist has been accepted.
3. PHOTOS: Submit ONLY three (3) 4×6 photos representative of your work for each category entered and a booth shot. A CD with high quality images is also accepted. Not be responsible for images lost in the mail.
4. DEADLINES: Applications must be received by May 15, 2009. Notices of acceptance
or rejection will be mailed by May 29, 2009.
5. RETURN ENVELOPES: ALL APPLICANTS ENCLOSE A 41-CENT STAMPED, SELFADDRESSED. 4″ x 9.5″ ENVELOPE FOR THE NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION and a SASE for return of images. The committee will not respond to any applicant who fails to provide to return envelopes with address and proper postage.

Eligibility, Rules & Regulations
•All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the artist. No open-ended edition prints permitted. Kits, imports and mass produced items are prohibited. No clothing, hobby or bazaar type articles.
•All categories must be juried prior to acceptance. Any media NOT approved during the application process that appears in your booth at an event will be removed.
•Separate photos/CD and jury fee are required for acceptance of more than one category.
•Please send a biography of you and your work. We like to have these on file for publicity opportunities.
•If two or more persons collaborate to produce original work, each person must be identified on the application.
•Payment in full is due at time of application. Only upon acceptance will check be deposited. A $25 fee will be charged for all bank returned checks, cancellations and foreign funds.
•It is VERY important that you include the event date on your checks to avoid miscommunication. This should be done on the application.
•If both envelopes (SASE for notification and slide return) are not included, we will assume you do not want your slides returned to you.
•All applications require 3 photos or images on CD of your work plus 1 photo or image of your outdoor display. We will not process your application without a photo/image of your outdoor display with the white 10×10 tent include in the image. INDOOR displays WILL NOT be accepted.
•Artist provides own display. Display must be weighted, sturdy, safe, clean and tidy. Artist is responsible for his/her own display in case of loss or damage. Tables must be covered to the ground. All storage and supplies must be covered. All paintings must hang – with consideration for oversized work.
•Staking into the pavement or grass is NOT allowed unless specific rules are given.
•Exhibitor’s display at the event must represent photo submitted at time of application.
Misrepresentation of a display will result in expulsion from the display area without refund. Upgrades are okay, but Thorsen Gallery must be notified of change.
•All tents must be solid white and flame retardant. Handwritten signs and sale signs are
prohibited. No soliciting political or religious materials or imposing views on customers or fellow artists. Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing.
The goal is to make your tent look like a “Mini” art gallery.
•All work, display and storage must stay within designated space. There is no extending.
•The approved exhibitor will occupy his or her booth at all times. NO subletting or sharing of space is permitted. No representatives are allowed.
•Exhibitors may not solicit or approach patrons outside of their booth area.
•The exhibitor’s space shall be occupied by ______am the morning of the show, otherwise the exhibitor will be considered a “NO SHOW” and his/her space may be given away with no possible refund.
•Exhibitors must park in designated artist parking area.
•Set-up and breakdown times will be strictly enforced. You must arrive within the specified times. Breakdown will not begin until the end of the show, usually between ___________p.m.
•Exhibitors will leave their exhibit space clean after packing up at break down. If your space is not clean after an event this could result in expulsion from future shows.
•Absolutely no pets on grounds.
• Artists must utilize assigned space during published hours and will confine all
sales/display activity to assigned space. All space assignments are final decisions of
Eric Thorsen Gallery. Eric Thorsen Gallery reserves the right to change or modify space locations, as they may deem necessary.
•All rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply with rules or unruly behavior (including intoxication or verbal abuse) by the exhibitor or their assistants will require immediate expulsion from the present show and will eliminate exhibitor from future events. Eric Thorsen Gallery reserves the right to make final interpretation of all rules.
•Exhibit closes at ____pm and the artists must remove all displays and items.
•Recommended attire is business casual. You never get a second chance to make a first
impression.
•Management reserves the right to make final interpretations of all rules and regulations. Please read the general release on front of application before signing!
